April 2007: Introducing Tate Michael Johnson

Introducing the newest member of the Johnson Family:

TATE MICHAEL JOHNSON
Tate was born Easter Sunday, April 8th at 1:07 p.m., in many ways just like his daddy: the 3rd boy, born on Easter, and only one day after his daddy's birthday. He weighed 6 lbs. 8 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long.

The labor and delivery went very quickly and both Mommy & baby are doing well. Tate is a sweet little baby and Owen & Eyan have been such great big brothers already, wanting to hold and hug him. Tate looks a lot like Owen when he was a baby. We are happy to have Grandma and Auntie Ness at our home to help Mommy; she's needs lots of help in learning how to be a Mommy to three. We look forward to visits from you in our home.

April 2007: Easter Baby?

Good day everyone! Just a little note, no, I still have not had the baby. I had been on bedrest for a month and a half due to pre-term labor. And of course, now that I am off my medicine and up and around more, my contractions have stopped as of Friday. Go figure! I am, however, going to be induced Easter Sunday, April 8th, if the baby has not come by then. My doctor will be out of town the following week and I definitely want him there to deliver my baby. Mom and Liz will be home from Italy on Tuesday and that makes me very happy. Vanessa and Dad are also planning on coming up to help. Yeah! I hope that someone will be able to post photos and tell you what we actually name the baby soon after he arrives. Wish me luck!

March 2007: My little genius

Owen continues to surprise me at how smart he really is! Sometimes we forget he is only 4. He is doing so well at reading. Yesterday Owen wanted to write on his eraseboard (one of the things he wanted for Christmas). I was watching a special church Conference and really wasn't paying attention to what he was doing. I looked over and couldn't believe that he had written a sentence all by himself. "This is Owen." He added a picture of himself and wrote the number 4 in front of it because, well he's 4, he said. He then continued to write numbers and sounded out more words to write. He really loves to learn. Yes, I am a proud mommy.

March 2007: Eyan turns 2

My little Eyan turned 2 on March 29th. It was a hard choice for him to decide what kind of party he wanted: "vader"-darth vader, "queen"-lightning mcqueen, or "o-saur"-dinosaur. He decided on "o-saur". We planned a party at the park during our nice Spring weather, only to have a snowstorm come the day before. We had a nice little party at our house and had his Johnson cousins over. We played O-saur Roar where the kids had to roar like a dinosaur if the music stopped when they were holding the o-saur. Grammy Johnson gave the best "roar". Eyan enjoyed his cake and "cream" and gave the best expressions as he opened each present. He really enjoyed his party.

March 2007: My last year of 20s

Happy birthday to me! 9+ months pregnant and in my last year of my 20s, what a gem of a combination, but hey I have the cutest boys on the planet!

March 2007: St. Patrick's Day

Here is the cutest leprechaun you've ever seen! Mike had recently been telling Owen about the Tooth Fairy and so Owen asked me if on St. Patrick's Day a leprechaun would leave gold under his pillow. Don't I wish!
